As with all organic fertilizers, the nutrients are released by decomposition through fungi and bacteria. Therefore, you may note the presence of fungal hyphae on the surface of the mix during the active decomposition phase. The fertilizer should be supplemented with your choice of liquid feeds as needed by the plants.
