50’s/60’s Black Striped Taffeta Sleeveless Pocketed Dress 1940s robe A-line skirtMid Century modern, fit and flare dress from the late 50s or early 60s. No tags, this dress was probably home sewn. The fabric seems to be a textured striped taffeta (possibly acetate) in black and off white (has a touch of lightest pink to it, but it reads as off white, next to the black). This crisp, almost stiff fabric has no stretch to it. The fitted bodice has a high round neck and princess seams front and back. The A line skirt consists of
